    It doesn't look good for my clam...

    You can put it on a small rock and put the rock in the sand, level with the sand to give the appearance of being in sand. Maxima's are rock dwelling...

    Because the water level fluctuates daily in the second and third chamber so this wont work for a skimmer because they need a constant water level....

    Starting off with stocking, I'm seeing anywhere from 30-125 gallons for some species. Just recently LiveAquaria changed ALL their minimum tank sizes...

    Those sold as "purple kelp" are often good in tanks, as well as Halimeda sp., assuming you don't have algae eating fish (tangs for example).

    Generally easy to care for, cool addition to reef tanks IMO, also extremely efficient at removing nitrates and phosphates.
