I was just looking at pics of cbb's and noticed they all have an eye spot on the tail area..... mine does not have this making me wonder if it is acually a cbb or if it is something else...... it did clear my tank of apptasia in about 2 weeks time and doesn't bother any corals or my bta.

Its a CBB, They tend to grow the eyespot towards maturity.

right on, I really like the eye spot, should be fun watching it come in....... BTW I would recommend this fish to anyone with apptasia problems. It literally rid my tank in about 2 weeks. probably close to 200 or more of them.

That is awesome... it's going to be difficult for you to keep it fed, as they have very specific diets, as you can tell by it wiping out your aiptasia... it may turn on your xenia, and if it did, you might consider yourself lucky, as it may starve otherwise. Unless you can get it to take prepared food, but many people can't.

It does eat frozen food also, and I would love for it to start in on the xenia, That wouldn't be a bad thing in my tank. I take about 50 or so stalks to the lfs about once a month.

Some believe xenia doesn't "taste" good to them... or so I've heard.

That's great that yours eats frozen foods, I would love to get one, but don't want to take the chance that it won't.

I watched it eat in the store before I brought it home.

I feed a mixture of frozen foods that my lfs mixes up and resells. not sure whats all in it, chopped up shrimp and bloodworms and stuff. The CBB isn't picky at all, it eats it all... maybe I just got lucky though as I have heard that they are picky eaters.
