    With all due respect to your modding ability.I wouldn't touch that skimmer. As long as the skimmer is at the correct depth,the pump is working...

    How old is your acrylic sump???

    I was just wondering how long these things actually last? My current sump is about 9 years old and was custom built. Your input is appreciated.

    Good call.Always check the venturi first. 90 percent of the time this is the issue. I have to use a small screwdriver to remove the salt on mine.;)
