I have two blue tuxedo's in my 30 gal and they keep the corraline algea in check. They also keep any unwanted algae growths down and out.
Start doing 25% water changes every couple of days for a couple of weeks that will bring down those levels
you shouldn't burn them out at any level. Start them low and move them up.
