I believe he was talking about his dry rock having the white stuff not the LR? can dead coralline just "unglue" it self from the rock and float away...
It could be a very large bacteria bloom? Is your water cloudy? A picture would be helpful
yeah, they are definitely reef safe. Very good scavengers as well.
They usually just hide under the rocks and only come out during feeding time. But they can move surprisingly fast when they really want to.;D

I did, but as soon as I put it in there it disappeared in the rock work. I also got a brittle star fish:) All in all, its about 40 snails and 9ish...
