the hermits could be the culprit if looking for a larger shell, ive seen cleaner shrimp go for snails before so maybe peppermint shrimp but unlikely...
a k3 is fine for a tank that size but i would maybe recommend having one more possibly smaller powerhead because it wont reach the other side fully...
