If you go four, take a look at the JBJ Oceanstream 500 gph. Very nice powerheads for the money and you can get a Oceanpulse wavemaker to go with...
Reef Crystals. Seems to dissolve easy enough. Not much residue. Has high Ca, Mg, and Alk numbers at 1.026 salinity.
I don't know guys. She has that tank dialed. You might want to ask for a handicap if you're RP racing. :) Congrats on the nice add, BTW!
+1 on the Kole. Mine grazes non-stop and keeps the rock clean. I would not mix the Maroon and Ocellaris. Not sure if the angel or damsel should go...
I'm using two duos, but that's because I grew into this via trial and error on powerhead placement. If I did it over again, I'd do a quadra.
Very nice palys and love the color of that acan in the background.
Looks like an excellent location for a tank. :) Looking forward to the progress.
I don't have a BRS RO/DI, but I hear many people talk highly about them. It depends on your tank, humidity in your home, how tight you want to keep...
I have 4 x 1,600 gph JBJ Oceanstream with the Oceanpulse wavemaker. I have the powerheads paired with each wavemaker on opposite sides of the tank...
Congrats and a job well done. I'm inspired!
How old is the tank? Leaching something out of the sand bed?
+1; if you want to maximize membrane/DI resin life, do a good job of changing out your pre-filters and carbon blocks and install the DI by-pass...
Tank looks great!
I'm hoping with you. Why the sudden onset? Something from the scallop bothering them?
Welcome to 3reef!
Good luck! Looking forward to seeig the progress.
Looks like it acclimated quickly and well. You've got that tank dialed in for them.
Aahhhh... Very nice.
Looking good! What is in the second pic? A type of ricordea?
Tank is looking great! Love the hammer.
