I know its some kind of sps....i got a few frags of whatever i could break off the glass of this guy who was breaking down his tank and said whatever...
maybe try looking into a cheap underwater camera and placing it close to the coral rather than zooming from across the tank might work better,...
ive seen a few guys make a hob fuge/sump out of a modified hob filter....talk to nano mano i think hes the one i saw that made it
from my understanding 6500 seems to be the sweet spot with most plants but 3500-8000 will work

Sounds like tube worms or tiny feather dusters....they're harmless, it all depends on if you like how it looks..a credit card or razor will take them...
as needed some do once a week, others once every other, some even once a month it all depends on your params/calcium etc
just give it some time with water changes it will go down, also think about adding a fuge to eat some of your nitrates or an algae scrubber
you should be fine since it sounds like you have copepods/amphipods already...are the critters worm like or bug like?

well heres a question to think about....is there any local reef clubs near by? are you willing to sell/trade it away if things arent looking well?...
i lucked out my lfs gets them from a supplier that has the trained to prepared foods and they are very healthy....mine was a little timid on feeding...
my opinion is take a look at a maldives lyretail anthias, i got one and it just looks great....they have a max size of 5 inches but usually around...
i know a lot of people from florida and the gulf coast do this and i would guess that if they have had bad results they wouldnt keep doing it...odds...

raising the temp actually speeds the cycle which gives the newly hatched parasites less time to find a host so it is still helpful
