i say go for something maybe green mandarin that is on prepared foods or something alon those lines

if you can find an ORA mandarin they are on prepared foods....sometimes you can ak your lfs if they can get them in or some sites have them also id...
to an extent the phosphate kits arent much help, but thats if it is under .2 ppm above that from my understanding they arent that bad but one can...
im not sure 100% what causes a bloom but that is a possible cause of cloudy water....from my understanding if that is what it is the bacteria will...
they could be spinoids like said above but look like spaghetti worms to me....either way they're harmless and just eat detritus....maybe some fish...
well the nitrates could be helping, also what are your phosphate levels at?
what kind of lighting and what kind of flow? but for thr most part any soft corals especially zoas, mushrooms, green star polyps, and palys....maybe...
have you added anything new? other than that the only reasonable explanation i could think of is the bacteria bloom mentioned above
whats your substrate maybe the powerheads are kicking up sand or micro bubbles from return?

i just got a frag of green star polyps and have seen some cool things where people grow them on the back wall of their tank and it looks kind of cool...
well if the extra rock doesnt fit in the system maybe break up the left over into rubble rock
