    I believe it is opposite, a 200 micron would have 200 holes per inch where as a 100 would only have 100 holes per inch, making the 200 finer in mesh....

    The higher the micron number the finer the mesh it is. A 200 would catch more debris than a 100 but would also clog up faster.
