The new Automatic Feeding System from Neptune Systems should be a big hit for Apex fans. An already great feeder gets a lot better when connected to the Apex AquaController - allowing you to schedule pumps off around feeding time or even turn off the feeder if your ORP drops. With a sealed drum to keep out moisture and that helps keep the food from going stale, as well as an adjustable gate for different size foods, the AFS is a nice fishfood feeder. The AFS is coming next month with an MSRP of $99.95. Specs below.

Have you ever wrestled with a Kessil gooseneck while trying to get it centered over your aquarium? The guys at Kessil have and came up with a solution - the bracket shown below. This simple extension will make centering that LED pendant a lot easier and as you will not have to try and make a tight turn with that neck. Saving you the aggravation is probably worth the $20 for this upgrade. Available next month.

The Chill Solutions CSXC-1 aquarium chiller is the first thermo-electric nano chiller on the market I've seen since the Coolworks IceProbe from 10 years ago. The CSXC-1 looks very similar but with one big difference, the troublesome probe has been replaced with barbed hose fittings to run the chiller inline with a small pump. Any small powerhead would do. That was a brilliant move as it makes mounting a breeze. The CSXC-1 will pull down a 20 gallon nano up to 8 degrees and a 30 gallon up to 4 degrees. The only moving part is the temp-controlled fan. The corrosion on the old Iceworks probe was its downfall, I suspect the Chill Solutions CSXC-1 will be around a lot longer. Available now for $219. Details below.

While it looks like we are still waiting for the release of ReefLink from EcoTech Marine, here is a one minute video overview by a member of the EcoTech team at MACNA. ReefLink has been in beta testing since September and was scheduled for an October release at $199. The ReefLink currently will allow for wireless control of your Radion lighting with Vortech pumps to follow. ReefLink could get really interesting if becomes a full blown controller for all your hardware. EcoTech Marine says something is "in the works."

Puratek is the latest to enter the ballooning high-end ATO market with the Puratek Auto Level Controller. The PUR-7100 comes with a submersible pump and the PUR-7101 comes with a solenoid valve for attaching directly to your RO filter. This is a sophisticated and highly configurable ATO with unique electrical field sensors that can detect water through glass or acrylic up to 3/8" thick. After calibrating the sensitivity of the sensor, you can also program pump run time over the normal level mark to lessen on/off cycles. Puratek also had adjustable delayed on times help manage any water turbulence that may occur in the sump. Want to go further? When connected to the Puratek Insight 24/7 controller you can get email notifications and log how often you are adding water. Specs and manual attached.
