Jon Warner of Warner Marine is getting back to his roots with a whole bevy of new supplements soon. Some of the 11 new products include liquid phosphate removers - PHOSaR 'L' and 'R' with new resin, and an iron and vitamin C supplement. We will have to let Jon step in and take it from here as I began to zone on the new labels featuring amazing corals from Greg Rothchild, Chris Thomas and Jason Fox. Who knew labels could be so hypnotic?!?! :)

Stay tuned at:

The illumagic Blaze Series Advance LED lamp comes from Taiwan and may have been the sleeper LED hit of MACNA. The diminutive 88w 2' versions at MACNA were easy to walk by at the Blau Aquaristic's booth unless you happen to catch the 'lightening' demo as I did. That certainly got my attention. The digital controller is fully programmable with 3 independent channels to handle arrays of neutral / cool white CREE XP-G LEDs, Blue XP-E and even some 400nm UV. The 75 degree lens are stock on the Advance models but can be swapped out. The Advance model can be chained to others via an I/O port. Beyond the daily cycle, the illumagic can even handle weekly events. illumagic is one feature packed LED lamp.

inTank fills a niche that big name companies in this industry didn't know was needed. As a hobbyist, Steve Taggart looked at the filter designs on all-in-one-tanks and hang-on-the-backs and thought there had to be a better way to channel water through media. After a few rounds with a laser cutter, not only did he design better ones, he made them plug and play for all the common setups such as Red Sea Max, BioCube, JBJ, Solana, and filters like Aquaclear. inTank media baskets force water through media and sponges for maximum efficiency. And they have removable shelfs and are built to last with thick acrylic. Well done Steve.

inTank also has custom skimmer cups allowing you to fit in a real skimmer in these setups and ditch the stock skimmers....

The Unibody 3.6 LED 54 watt lamps shown here are prototypes from an exciting new company called Reshore Aquatics that combines the drool-inducing work of Nanocustoms with the distribution power of JBJ. While small and modestly hidden at MACNA, I was immediately drawn to them due to the industrial design and the aluminum driver box with manual sliders. The interchangeable cover plates help with the active cooling and will be available in different colors. JBJ retailers should have these lamps in late October for the attractive price of $349.99. These would be ideal on a 20 gallon cube tank. I am excited to see what is next from Reshore Aquatics. Complete specs, pics and more below.

Tunze is starting to roll out some nice refinements in their Osmolator auto-top-off system. Foremost, you can now set the speed on the pump with the new dial shown below in the controller. For those of you that are running the Osmolator in tandem with the Tunze kalk reactor on a nano aquarium, you can now prevent the Osmolator from pumping kalk in too fast. When I had this setup going, I noted this issue. This is a great feature. Making the pump slower should also dampen the sound and even prevent quick swings in sump levels making this ATO even more accurate.

And lastly Tunze has added some quick connects so the pump wires are no longer hard wired to the controller.

Great additions to an already great ATO. Nice work Tunze.

The new version is starting to ship now, but some old ones are still in stock too so there is a bit of a Willy Wonka factor going on in the short term. FYI.
