Fiske Ironworks appears to have this made this aquarium as a custom piece as it is signed and dated '1876' and did not appear in their catalog. Oh man. You don't see many of these. It measures 56 inches high, 24 inches deep by 48 inches long. The aquarium glass and sealant has been replaced. The paint is original. And, yes, it's made of iron. You are going to need some hard cash too to bring this home - the Fiske 1876 aquarium is selling for just under $20k.

Here are the latest pics and prices on the new Orphek ML-T5 LEDs. These are T-8 formfactor LED tubes that will fit into T-5 fixtures with included adapter and they have their own power supplies. Pretty cool.

Orphek ML-T5 LEDs

They'll come in 24, 36, 48, and 60" options. (~$99, $139, $169, and $199 respectively) As you can see they come with their own power supply and are plug and play ready, and will also fit into existing T-5 fixtures but will require some minor electrical modifications of the existing fixture (instructions will be included).

They will come in a moonlight option (our blue and UV/true violet emitters) and a daylight option (our true 15k white, blue, and UV/true violet Power LED™ emitters). They will emit more PUR than the T5 bulbs they are replacing. Spectrographs, etc are forthcoming.

Our friend Ken at Advanced Aquarist has been fired up over the new seneye reef monitor lately and rightly so. It is a slick new monitor for your reef that keeps a variety of real time data from PAR to pH and also historical records via your PC. seneye LTD sent 3reef a bunch of info recently. Looks like the same data as what Ken received plus an extra pic or two shown below. FWIW. Coming end of July for $190 MSRP. More videos soon.

ATI's new Dimmable T5 SunPower aquarium lamp hits all the marks and should be a big hit for ATI when it becomes available next month. Beyond the great looks of this low-profile all aluminum fixture with its hard lines, cool built-in controller and - (note this other manufacturers!) - single power cord, it packs a ton of useful features at affordable prices. The sleek LCD controller let's you fine tune the dimming with 10 set-points for realistic dawn/dusk transitions. The SunPower has a active cooling system which means the fan, which is quiet anyway, is only on when it needs to be. All that and silver-coated reflectors. Starting at $459, this plug and play T5 light will be found over many aquariums soon. Pics below and more details in attached PDF.
