red slime.. help me please.. tried everything

this is my tank.. red slime algae has taken over.. i have been trying to treat it for two months!! i have tried the water change method of ltting old out while putting new water in .. ending in about an 85% water change./... these photos are a week after that.. red slime all over sand... filter.. glass..it looked good for a week but then started looking like this again.... tried every red slime treatment available... i do regular water changes... the only think i dont have is a protein skimmer... that can not be the cause of all this... i have a emperor bio wheel 400 and the smaller version.. two power heads.. both of which as you can see have been attacked by the red slime as well.... my live rock is covered.. on over 50lbs of rock i think there is about a five inch space that isnt covered by red slime.. i am about ready to give up... please help me please

    have u tried weiss organics its a algea remover look it up if u havent already tryed it

    what kind of livestock do you have in there? how did you cycle your tank? what kind of water are you using? what are your nitrate/nitrite levels at? also what are your phosphate levels at? How often are you feeding?
