The new stand. The spots where the nail hole filler was applied didnt take stain very well (not cool, thanks a lot paint lady at HomeDepot!) but it just looks bad here because of the flash. It doenst look as bad in normal light and the doors will cover mo The tank with the lights on for the first time! (notice no light leaks!) I love it. I wet the glass and dremeled it down so it is not sharp and I do not believe it will hurt the structural integrity of the glass. The tank doesnt leak now, so lets hope it stays that way! Another view, I think it is a good spot for the tank, not much natural light. IMG 2602 IMG 2622 The chips on the other side. Also sanded down. All are pretty small. I have no idea what the previous owner was doing to this thing to chip it so much. Possible lighting layout Top of the hood, I built the halide pendants into the hood but above it so that they can vent but are still held captive and can be removed. The plumbing through the floor, anyone know what the max flow rate through a 1" drain going down 12 feet is? IMG 2603 The stand, hood, and doors all sanded and ready for pre-stain and stain. Here you can see the wiring for the two DC fans and the halide pendants built into the hood (although it is all kind of dirty still)
