Possible lighting layout Top of the hood, I built the halide pendants into the hood but above it so that they can vent but are still held captive and can be removed. The plumbing through the floor, anyone know what the max flow rate through a 1" drain going down 12 feet is? IMG 2603 The stand, hood, and doors all sanded and ready for pre-stain and stain. Here you can see the wiring for the two DC fans and the halide pendants built into the hood (although it is all kind of dirty still) You can see the lighting here. Currently one actinic and one blue +, then two mystery 250W halides to be replaced by ushio bulbs soon. IMG 2604 The hood. It has two holes for ventilation fans and the lights will mount to that lid. If circulation isnt enough, I will cut the back of the hood open more. The new tank with stand and hood. Just need to re-silicone the overflow and I am in business! Here is the inside of the hood. Soon there will be two 48" T5 Actinic + bulbs and reflectors in there run by an Icecap 660. A single blueline magnetic ballast runs the two 250W halides. The pendant tops (you can see the vents pointed at it, there are holes beneath each little vent which pipe air up)
