The tank with the lights on for the first time! (notice no light leaks!) I love it. IMG 2601 IMG 2621 IMG 2639 this is one of the chips in the tank corner. I wet the glass and dremeled it down so it is not sharp and I do not believe it will hurt the structural integrity of the glass. The tank doesnt leak now, so lets hope it stays that way! I have no idea what the previous owner was doing to this thing to chip it so much. Possible lighting layout Top of the hood, I built the halide pendants into the hood but above it so that they can vent but are still held captive and can be removed. The plumbing through the floor, anyone know what the max flow rate through a 1" drain going down 12 feet is? IMG 2603 The stand, hood, and doors all sanded and ready for pre-stain and stain. Here you can see the wiring for the two DC fans and the halide pendants built into the hood (although it is all kind of dirty still) You can see the lighting here. Currently one actinic and one blue +, then two mystery 250W halides to be replaced by ushio bulbs soon.
