IMG 2609 IMG 2635 Re-painted the tank trim to be black instead of wood-grain. Used Krylon Fusion, it worked well with several coats. Did not do the tip-top so that there would be no chance of getting paint/paint chips in the tank the doors stained (and the old stand) IMG 2601 IMG 2610 IMG 2619 IMG 2637 Here is a closer shot of the painted trim The new stand. The spots where the nail hole filler was applied didnt take stain very well (not cool, thanks a lot paint lady at HomeDepot!) but it just looks bad here because of the flash. It doenst look as bad in normal light and the doors will cover mo The tank with the lights on for the first time!

(notice no light leaks!) I love it. IMG 2601 IMG 2621 IMG 2639 this is one of the chips in the tank corner. I wet the glass and dremeled it down so it is not sharp and I do not believe it will hurt the structural integrity of the glass. The tank doesnt leak now, so lets hope it stays that way! Another view, I think it is a good spot for the tank, not much natural light.
