    Thanks for the responses so I guess it's a known fact that if u use ABOVE the reccomended hose barb fittings and hose that u will get a higher gph......

    If u go to big on the skimmer the foam will come to a climax and will stop skimming... Do u have a heavy bioload? I would recommend an ams g series...
