    Skimmer rating ?

    So if I am going with a 90 gallon tank, 30 gallon sump for 120 total volume, then I should have a skimmer rated for about 240 ?

    75 gallon over 90 gallon !

    I guess I need to stop at my LFS and look at the 75 and 90 side by side, maybe that will help me make the decision.

    That's exactly what I have been thinking, plus the added height making it difficult to reach the tank bottom.

    The only real difference between the two is the tank height, 21" or 24", length and width are the same.
