Not exactly... Blue/White did/has worked fine for many, and can grow corals quite well. I did for me and I've seen it work for others as well....
I had mine run up this high a week or so ago for a couple days; had no problems. Some of it I chalked up as probe drift, as I haven't calibrated it...
