    I pretty sure they just sit there doing nothing. I used salifert test kits phosphate less then .03 nitrate less then 1.5 ppm.

    I had what I would call micro bloom for less then a day, I ignored it. most people just let it run it's coarse.

    pellets don't get changed out they get eaten, you only top them off when necessary. people say 100gph for each 100 ml of media or something like...

    Ants!

    If you don't cover the tank the poison they spray or bug bomb will kill everything. Especially if you run a skimmer it will suck in air poisoning...
