    Dead HQI Bulb

    You should be ok with the 10k until the new bulbs get there. Blowing out the ballast is good maintenance because they can get hot.

    A heater is a must with a SW tank. You should never rely on the house temp to keep the tank stable. Get a Titanium heater and if you never need it...
