I've just drilled my 40 breeder and installed 3 1" bulkheads. Maybe it was poor planning on my part, but I can only find 3/4" and 1/2" lockline for my return... am I missing something? This is my first go at plumbing a sump. Can I just get a 1" to 3/4" reducer of something?

A reducer is an option yes, something else you may want to look ato it see if schedule 80 bulkheads in 3/4 will fit and give you a good seal. They are bigger, thicker and more heavy duty, so you can drop them in and plug and play with 3/4 loc line.

The 3/4" 80 is only 1mm smaller than the 1" ABS so it should work perfectly. Thanks. With a 3/4 thread/thread I'll be able to plug and play my lock-line and a threaded 90 with a barb for my return hose. BIG HELP!

Unfortunately, Loc-Line stops at 3/4, then jumps to 2". But the plan above sounds like it will work. Good luck!

I just buy the black fittings up front so they blend in...harder to find, but a lot easier to use than painting them...then again, I REALLY dislike painting. ;D

Black PVC is very hard to find but I know Custom Aquatic carries common sizes and fittings. I wasn't really concerned about two bushings since they hardly show and in time they were covered with corraline anyway.
