I will be getting a new rimless tank 48x24x20. (100 gallons) Aquaticlife has a new fixture R7S with 2 150 watt MH Hids and 4 54 watt HO T5's (516 total watts) Is this enough light? Will the MH and T5 penetrate to the bottom of the tank. I will not be doing sand (bare bottom). It will be a full mixed reef probably from Deep Sea Aquatics or from Perfecto

If it is 20" high then no problem.

Yes 20" high tank. Will I be able to place sps on the bottom if I want? I figure 18 inches height of water. I will have the water level start 2 inches from the top

Probably not, you would want 250W MH for that.

Do the T5's produce much heat?
