I am starting a tank and have a question with 100% dry rock would purple up or Bio-Spira by marineland help in speeding up the dry rock to live rock or the cycling process?

Purple up will not help. Bio-spira could help.

I think he means live sand. Which is a waste unless you buy it from a mature tank.

not sure what the question is here but i just noticed your title and first comment dont match up lol...title says 100% LR and comment says 100% dry rock, which one is it....if you are asking what bio spira is and how it speeds up a cycle the answer is pretty simple, its like bacteria in a bottle and will help build colonies of bacteria more quickly so the tank has its spikes quicker too

ooo that makes sense...yes LS can be a good add if you get it from the right place or if you get normal sand and just get a cup of sand from another reefer to seed it

+1 I would buy dry sand and seed it, much cheaper, about 1% chance of getting any pests! Also go dry rock all the way, seed it with a few pieces, its so much easier to aquascape it, its cheaper, more pourous, and then your not taking from the reef either :)
