So I have my 120 up and running and its time to stock the tank. Currently there are two black perculas in the tank and that is it. This is what I have planned:

    2 Australian Perculas (Already Have)
    3 Maldive Lyretail Anthias
    Midas Blenny
    Red Mandarin
    Desjardini Sailfin Tang
    Black Cap Basslet
Another small tang? Maybe a bluejaw trigger?

Is there any more/less I should have in the tank? What do you guys suggest.

Also, I upgraded from a 55 to this tank, and its going to be empty as far as livestock. What do you think I should do with that tank as well?

IMPO a 120 is too small to house a Sailfin Tang permanantly. Especially if it is a normal 120 DT (4'X2'X2'). If you plan on getting it small, then you run into problems down the line with relocating.

    Everything else seems great tho!!!

I would use the 55 gallon as a QT tank for all new additions. There are many good choices as far as tangs go...you just have to do some research as far as compatibilty.

I also like the naso tangs, would that be too big as well?

Use the 55 for your sump.....Lots of extra water volume and room for a fuge, skimmer area and pump return.

skip the naso, they get way too big for your tank. I would look into a yellow, kole, scopas, tomini, and / or maybe a purple (they get real nasty if kept in smaller tanks tho). how about adding a flame angel and a yellow corris wrasse for some more color?

All great suggestions. If you try a purple make sure it is smaller than other tangs if adding others. They are awesome fish, one of my favorites by far. They seem to not be as nasty the more fish there are in the tank. If I were you, and wanted a Purple, it would be the only tang in the tank. I personally like the Chevron better than a Tomini, just on coloration. They get bigger than the Tomini but should do well in a 120 for a number of years.
