Ok so this weekend I picked up a nice 125g tank,stand,canopy.1.5hp chiller, pro aquatics 150 sump/ 2 orbit 36" 150 wat MH and some misc parts.

Right now I have sanded the cherry finish off the stand and started to stain it a nice dark walnut. I plan on drilling this tank, but have a few questions. Tank measures 72x18x22. I want to put 2 overflows in the tank which option would be better 2 boxes in each corner like in the drawing or just put a single piece in the corners like shown?

If my tank is 22" deep should I make my overflow pieces 22" and the run my notch about and 1" to allow the water to flow into the drain area?

Also will I need a pump for each return line or if my pump is big enough can I run a splitter in the line? I have a decent pump that came with the tank, I would have to get you specs on it though. Any help and ideas would be apprectiated.

YES I WILL GET PICS LATER TODAY :p

Have you thought about setting up the sump/fuge with the fuge on the right side, the skimmer on the left side and the return pump in the middle. Then you could re-rout the right overflow straight to the fuge and put a ball valve on it so you have less flow to it. I have seen this a lot and it works really well.

Don't you actually want as much flow as possible? I thought it was better to skim the water before it hit the fuge then the return pump?

Been really busy and have not had a chance to touch my 125g project.

I routed out some 3/8 cell cast acrylic and have stared to weld my sump together.
I needed it to fit under my stand so I went ahead and made it 36"x15"x15" I think it is like 42gallons.

Anyways in the next few days I hope to get it all glued up and this weekend I should drill the holes in my tank

Ok made some progress. I got my overflow holes drilles...and I drilled a hole in the center/back for another flow.

I had some glass cut, then siliconed it up and into the tank

Then I used my laser at work to cout out some black acrylic with some teeth to go over the glass over flows.

Bought tons of plumbing, made my durso's. Just need to cut down to the correct height.

Tested my sump NO LEAKS. Just need to finish putting the baffles and refuge in.

Im getting there cant wait to get this tank setup here are a few pics
