I decided to set up this nano, because my Emperor Angel and Foxface started eating my LPS. This tank will be a 12G Aquasystems tank by Truvu. My lighting will consist of a single Geisemann Nova 2 150W HQI, with a 20K Ushio bulb. Flow will be a single MP10, and I will use a Tunze Osmolator for top off. I plan on doing 1/2G daily water changes using my Profilux dosing pump. I hope this will let me do a skimmerless system, and rely on WC's to keep my water at the levels I want. The best part of this system is that I didnt spend a dime on it, because I already had all the equipment. I also traded the tank for a bunch of frags at my LFS>

This tank has plenty of room to get a big hand in the back chambers. A nice media rack, for carbon, filter floss etc....and the first chamber has plenty of depth to place a nice Jager heater in there. Alot easier to work with than my old BC14

So here are some of my damaged pieces...notice the Acan with the baby skeletons naked after they got their polyps eaten

Both of my scolys I fragged took a beating as both the foxface and emperor fed greedily on his flesh

I need to remove the coral from the discs and get rid of the BA...Just tossed them all in at once...This is my Bryan's Baby Watermelon that started getting nipped at this afternoon

Sounds like a great set up and plan. I would think that your wc plan would be perfect with just corals.

How do you like the TruVu nano aquariums? I have been wanting to set up a nano tank but cant decide between TruVu or Biocube.

The truvu is the tank to get if you want to set up your own lights. The back chambers are larger than the Biocube, it actually comes with a media rack which can be used for carbon, chemipure or polyfill. I've now owned both, and like the Aquasystems better. However, if you want to buy it all in one, then the biocube is a better fit. Although, I feel that the stock lights are only good for softies and some LPS, and that anyone serious in the hobby eventually removes the light/hood, and gets a pendant.
