Looks just like the $30.00 Anthias to me. I'm continually amazed by the prices of "high end" fish and coral.

thats what happens, the fish can be well not the coolest fish ever, but because it might be collected in deep water, or only in a certain areas (like gem tangs) thats why they are so expensive.

I talked with Richard Pyle at the MMC conference last year. This particular fish is a new species discoveref within the last 10 years. You must remember this fish was most probably collected in about 250-350 feet of water. Only 5-10 fish are collected on these types of trips and are rarely sent into the hobby since most are catalloged for science. The rebreather units used to make these dives cost over 20K and are very expensive to maintenance. You must remember too that the fish was collected, sold to a distributor, sold to a wholesaler, shipped halfway across the world, sold to an LFS, then sold to you eith each person in the chain of command making a marginal profit I think it is amazing that fish cost less than 60$ at all!
