as far as aggression the list is fine.

i would skip the diamond goby. he may not have enough to eat in the sand bed with a small tank. even though you feed, its only suplemental.

If i were you i would do 1 clown / 1 firefish and maybe a clown goby

a pair of clowns would be good.

You should mention to your parents that a 55g (or larger tank) is easier to maintain than a 14g in the long run. Smaller tanks have less "give" when it comes to changes in water chemistry, etc. If something goes bad in a small tank it goes downhill quick. A 55g has much more room for error & if you're new to SW it will be easier on you. A bigger tank also gives you a lot more room for fish/corals too. Believe me you will want a lot once you get into the hobby and wish you started bigger.

I completely understand if $ is an issue but just trying to steer you the right direction if you have any say or help from your folks.

I hear ya, a bigger tank will def cost more $ initially for the equipment but I feel like you will save in the long run if you have losses. Best of luck with the 14g

Didn't you just take down another tank??? Tank breakdown What are you going smaller?

Either way, I think 2 clowns and a fire fish would be fine. I have always been partial to any of the clown goby's, they all have so much personality! and I think you could fit one in there also becasue they stay so small.
