I am getting rdy to buy a 15g tank, but before i buy it will oceanic custom make aquariums? I want it to be a rimless but if they dont can i take a standard aquarium and just take off the top rim(if the glass is thick enough). What is the standard thickness of the 15g tank glass(i dont want to see a bow in the glass to much).BTW the tank dementions will be a 24L 12W and 12H.

anything on there site that doesnt have the customize/buy button on it is available to be shipped. you should just give them a call and see how much it would cost to ship.

I took the Top rim off of a 10G and it was fine. I Would think that with a longer aquarium, rather than taller, it would minimize the amount of water pressure on the sides. I don't have any training in hydo-engineering or anything so that's just a guess. IF you have the 15G just laying around, why not just experiment, maybe keep it outside for a while to test the hold of it and watch for bowing. Then you'd have 2 rimless instead of just 1 if you're going to go the glasscages route.

i could but it stil gets a bit cold here at night, but i dont need 2 tanks laying around. i think al just order one so i dont have to mess with cutting off the top rim and then hoping for the best.
