Perhaps then  I could have land hermit crabs  ;) ;D[/quote]

LOL...or maybe a Land Shark... saw a Crab at the LFS that was about 5inches long look like it weighed a quarter pound. Maybe good in a refugium!!;D

I've pretty much built my whole set-up (tank, stand, lights, skimmer, overflow, sump/fuge, phytoplankton station, most of the rocks, everything 'cept the pumps and plumbing parts) and figured the other day that it has almost run me $1800 including sand and the limited livestock I've got. I'm sure I'll be adding an additional $1000 in coral specimens over the next couple of years, so by 2007 probably 3 grand all told. ;)

Of course I didn't build all the tools it takes to do all this, but I had most of them from woodworking etc. So I cheated and didn't add them into the total!! ;D

Whew!! Nickel here dime there ($600 there) it does boggle the mind!! It sure is a wonderful thing though!! We all want to see some pics, P2B!

Must be nice... [smiley=drool.gif], but don't they have a tendancy to raise the nitrate levels a bit? I don't know that much about them but I could see that they might be a real necessity for some of the big setups people have. Also some of the x-10 computer sensor set-ups would be key for large tanks I would think. Any opinions or knowledge therein or is that another thread? 8)

Blade- Over $4300!!! That must include the cost of flying to Tahiti and collecting your own specimens, No? ;)

I am waiting to see the cost of LR....I went to one dealer (Beital's in NY) that had $13.99/lb cultured with live dusters, corals and other on it.....My LFS offered $8/lb but is willing to "work with me" if I get all the rock at once. Also some of the online links I have seen on 3reef look pretty good!

Hottie- I also got the coin bug a few years ago...I was able to put together quite a nice collection of morgans and other silver....all put away in the safe deposit box where I can never look at it! :'(

I will begin taking pictures of the beginning of setup which will start hopefully this weekend with my cabinet staining and finishing.

(I am still trying to get through to AquaCraft for some Marine Environment 2-stage salt....no luck yet!!)

yeah i've been a coin collector for about 5-6 years now. I collect rare coins, dimes, nickels, quaters, dollars but mosty colonial coins. I have 1 coin thats worth $3000 and one that's worth $500. The one i'm gonna buy next is valued at $2000. There rare and some are colonial.

Being that AquaCraft is just miles from my work, maybe I could stop by and pick up your bags and mail them myself. MDP (AquaCraft) has been moving facilities recently, so that may be the reason for the delay. He may be outa the country as well. Who knows.
