    Yeah that would be interesting, or some other nonconventional lighting schedule, like 3 on, 1 off 6 cycles a day. Might be annoying if you actually wanted to look at the tank though. :)

    i thought about this same thing many times, but never had the guts to try it.

    were u get the idea you growing some tomato plants?.;)




    i think the zoox. go threw a life cycle and then new zoox. grows to keep the population in check. so 24 light cycle may speed up the life cycle causing them to die before new zoox. can be replenished. result bleaching. ither way i see bleaching in the future of that experiment.


    i could be way off on what i said, so don't hold me to that life cycle sentence.

    i do get alot of tomato plant;) forums when i search about lighting schedules

    but no mainly from fuge lighting searches, and 24 hr lighting searches. i do grow some small plants my self(mint and lemon balm)
