    Hello Everyone,

It's been awhile since I have posted on here, but I'm starting a new 29g tank and I wanted to get some input on my stocking plan.

My plan is to have mostly soft coral and maybe a few select pieces of sps.

    My current list is:

    Sixline Wrasse
Blue Sapphire Damsel or Yellow Tail Damsel
    Green Clown Goby
and possibly a Firefish (still unsure about this one)

I like having a very light bioload in my tanks so I do not want more than 3 or 4 fish.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Zach

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Forgo the Six line wrasse. They can turn into a nightmare in smaller tanks, and more often then not they do become aggressive. A hard fish to catch and remove once you realize how aggressive they get.

^^^ +1 I totally agree with the six line wrasse. They can become quite aggressive and on another note you would need a pod population to support it's voracious appetite. From what I have heard and read though, if you still would like to get a wrasse that would go with your tank look into the pink streaked wrasse. I hear very good things about them and they are not aggressive by any means and have quite the personality once they get used to their environment.

I would opt for the yellow tail damsel vs. the sapphire because the yellow tailed typically do not get as aggressive (this can vary from fish to fish but in general). As flyn suggested, look at some of the smaller more colorful wrasses. what about a bottom dweller as well? or do the clown gobies tend to stay near the bottom? I've never kept one so I'm not sure on that.

    Thank you for the suggestions.

I had a lawnmower blenny in my 55g and he had quite a personality, so I may add one of them once the new tank is more established.

I would personally avoid a LMB for a tank that small. They can be difficult to get eating prepared foods and are prone to starve in smaller tanks. Plus they get rather large and can be aggressive/territorial. Go with a smaller Blenny such as a Tailspot IMO.
