    Not exactly, the nem is the home(host) and the clown is the guest. The nem hosts the clown. The only thing a clown hosts is a parasite like ich;) it's a form of mutual symbiosis. The clown would host the nem if the nem lived in the clown.

    But dont they benefit eachother with the clown bringing the nem food?

    What would consider the goby/shrimp then? The shrimp hosts the goby because it makes the home?

    Both would be a form of mutualism.

    The clown/nem thing IS a type of mutualism. It's just thee terminology. It's like, if you have friends over for a party, YOU(the nem) host the party, not the guests(clown).
