Update

Im back! but only for a little bit. I got the coral, and its bigger than I expected. It has neon green polyps and i put it where my other birdsnest is. the lfs said the coral is pretty hardy and i shouldnt be afraid to break pieces of if i need to. It is one of my favorite corals.. cant wait to see how fast it grows. Im not going to frag it until it breaks the surface, or when it gets in the way of another coral. Pics and 2 vids by hopefully tomorrow.

 

found out its a seriatopora caliendrum I found my hermit crabs and emerald crab picking at it!! i put the hermits in the sump and i have not found the emerald yet, he is hard to catch. i had to frag the xenia also, it got smashed against the glass when i was trying to catch the emerald. i had to cut the one stalk and im not sure if its going to make it.

 

How'd it get smashed against the rock??

Homestly adam, im going to frag you some xenia and ship it to you!! Haha you have such trouble with it!

 

lol ya, its really annoying. it was completely healed and growing new heads so i put it back in the tank. I sneezed while putting it in and it hit the glass. i heard a squishing sound and i saw my xenia was completely folded. I cut it and i hope it will do well, but im pretty sure its not going to live. Im probably going to make the video tomorrow, im sick and probably wont be able to today.

The seriatopora still doesnt have full polyp extension but its pretty extended right now. i just noticed a green tint on the skeleton which looks nice. oh, and my fuge has sooo many pods. They are crawling everywhere so im now feeding my blenny live food, he loves it

my slime remover is coming april 4th at the latest, it shipped today. cant wait to have white sand again!

ill tell you how this works out for me. Ive been doing water changes weekly and it hasnt been working at all for me. I will continue to do them but i need it clean fast, i have family coming in soon.

 

i made one of the videos and I have some pictures now. The pictures dont do the birdsnest any justice, i have to get a better camera at some point.
