So, 3reef has saved me a lot of grief by being here for my questions and for research.

However, tonight I had the most literal example of 3reef saving me. I was sitting here, admiring the show off your tank section, thinking of how I should be headed to bed for work in the morning, but daydreaming about the future of my young tank and thinking of how I am sure I'd be fine reading just a couple more.

I notice, as I am debating between a neon-green moon coral and a red acan for my next purchase, my tanks ATO kick on. As a scroll through the pictures, I notice a couple min later I still think I hear the pump.

Well, thanks to 3reef keeping me up, I narrowly avoided an overflow. Literally by the time I cut the power, my tank was filled to the VERY brim. (I know now that my tiny freshwater reservoir should only be filled 75% for safety sake!) I guess the snail guards weren't nearly as good at guarding as they suggest!

Guess I'll be topping off with saltwater for a day or two. Salinity dropped from 1.026 down to 1.0225

But I just wanted to say Thanks 3reef and thanks everyone using the show off your tank section. You saved me tonight!!! :)

It's a JBJ. The snail guard didnt quite stop a snail from wedging the float down :-/

First problem I've had with it. I think if I'm just more careful about how full I fill the reservoir of freshwater then I'll be good!
