400w metal halide

ok so i have 150w mh on my 65g and 2 blue t5s i saw this CoralVue 400W Metal Halide Retro Kit with Electronic Ballast - AquaCave and thought hmmmm so what is the pros and cons wold it be too much or should i go for it . i want to start getting more exspenive corals and things that demand high light so what think also 24" tall

 

I currently have a single 400w hanging over my 90 and it does not quite cover it, it's hung 20" over the center of the tank and the outside left and right edges are a bit shadowy, but if you hang it a few inches lower over your 65 you should be able to grow anything you want... by the way mine is in a Lumen Bright 3 pendant

 

go for it, but first checkout hamilton lighting they are pretty good and very repairable which is a plus.

 

you could just get 2 400 watt halides and one single t5 for dusk/accent lights
grow the next barrier reef

As it sits the halides only raise the temp by 1 or 2 degrees over a 10 hour day.
Eventually I'll get around to building the canopy for it.
