So my 20 gallon long is about ready for fish and I have roughly 300-500 dollars to spend on fish. I'm thinking 2 fish and a cleaner shrimp. Suggestions

That is a ton of money for two fish. You will probably have some leftover cash unless you do get designer clowns....they can be pricey.

Yep, I'm sure ya can get rid of it on 2 in the divers den or ibluewater though. Not a ton of pricy fish options for a 20g though.

I was thinking wartskin angler and a blue spotted jawfish and probably skunk cleaner shrimp... Could I add another fish or no?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Do a ton of research on the BJF. A big time jumper, absolutely needs a tank with a lid and no tiny holes. Start with a fat speciman, provide a good amount live rock rubble for it's burrow. A sand bed greater than 2 inches is really a must for this fish. Also read about Blue Spotted Jaw Fish Disease prior to purchase so you know what to look for. One of my very favorite fish, but for success for this smart beautiful fish you needed to do the research.

A Wart Skin Angler is going to share the same level in the tank as a BJF which in a 20 gallon might be a territory issue. I myself would not put he two together in such a small tank.

While both are stunning fish, neither is a fish I would put in a new 20 gallon tank.

Instead look to more exotic pair of clowns, Fire Fish, Royal Gramma, Cherub Angel or a type of Goby.

Not trying to be a Debbie Downer, but go for easier fish. Both a BSJ and the Angler call for bigger tanks and have specialized needs.

Buy easier to care for fish and spend the rest on easy corals. Soft corals and easy stony corals are sometimes easier to care for than exotic fish.

Every place I read said wartskin was a 20 gallon rated fish. I have heard that the bsjf is a jumper which is my hesitation towards them.
