55 Gallon Tank

Im not sure honestly. you might be pushing it with those fish in the 55 with so little established LR and LS. You probably will have a large ammonia spike which will kill the fish anyways. I am goin to refer on to the experts here. Do you have a LFS close? sometimes they will house fish for emergencies such as this. Also, although it is not ideal, you can get some of that instant bacteria cycle stuff. You could try it, as i dont really see any other options right now other than housing the fish elsewhere. I would for sure try to add some more live sand TODAY to help with the cycle you are going to have.

 

what kind of filter are you running on the 29 gal?

 

I was running a whisper I belive its rated at 450gph and for a 100g tank guy at lfs told me it would be great for my 55g when I got ready.. And I just called him and told him my situation... he told me to come in and pick up 5 bags of LS and 20Lbs of LR he will add to my tab and I can pay off over time <3 gotta love his payoff plans . But still I am transfering what I do have to the new tank also.. My clowns and goby will stay in 10g for at least 2weeks... while I let it get at least a part cycle then I'll add the goby and give it about another 2weeks and then add my clowns together since they are already paired up.

 

Please respond people... with what the guy from LFS is giving me would it be okay to setup the tank and let it cycle for a couple of weeks before i put in the goby and clowns?
