55gal max cap reached?

Currently in my 55 there are a total of 4 fish...a rescued purple tang, matched pair of false percs, and a small young rabbitfish

My wife is wanting to stock a mandarin so as of late I have been stocking them in the fuge. So in the end we are looking at a mandarin being introduced probably in November or December.

Heres the dilemma: I have two small green chromis in a nano, that I am thinking about either bringing back to my LFS or tossing them in the 55. I hate to bring them back because they are so damn happy together and have amazing personalities and I never want the separated from each other.

I have 105lbs of live rock, 95 in DT and 10lbs in fuge. My levels right now are zero NH3/NO2/NO3/PO4, SG 1.025.

SOOo...would the introduction of the 2 green chromis be okay with what I am doing?

i think if you have good filtration yo ushould be okay for a while , before your rabbit gets big. but i think the combo of rabbit and tang will get to be too much. what type filtration do you have?

 

For filtration I am running 2 protein skimmers, an AquaC remora and a CPR HOB refugium with skimmer. I also have an emp400.

 

i personally wouldnt keep either the rabbitfish or tang in a 55. but with it as is, i would see a problem putting the 2 chromis in. good score on the purple tang, those fish aren't cheep.
