ok here we go :) Is this going to be a good set-up? The 135 is 72" long, 18" wide, 24" tall. I'm going to take the 4x36" 96watt pc's and the 4x48" 54 watt T6's and combine them to make one hood with the the old fans from each unit. Will this be enough wattage over the tank? I know clams and brains are out, but what else will I be able to support with this set up?

I will put the pc's in the same pattern they are in now, two on left, two on right, ends almost touching

I looks alright! hopefully those pc's by being 4, put out enough light for ya!
I would think that would be plenty, but the stonies will need to be high on the rocks, are you going to have those ice cap ends? or is the hood have any kind of splash lens?

    Thanks Bruce and R!

I've got a good supply of acrylic, so I'll make my own. make a little channel for it to slide into, on the underneath side of the hood, from left to right, in 2 sections. can a hood be made from MDF? Then Painted?
