Not for a 65g tank. You shouldnt mix clowns, unless you have a large tank. Tangs should be housed in a 90g tank or bigger. You should do some research before you buy anything. Luna

Well I have researched the tangs and I do understand that they need a lot of swimming room. So do you think I can get by with just the Blue Tang? Oh and as far as mixing clowns I can get a couple more regular ocellaris right.

I wouldnt get more than 2 clowns in a tank as big as yours, but thats just me. You can get a blue tang, but it should be a small one, like the size of a half dollar or smaller. Luna

ok then I currently have the 2 misbars and I want a small blue tang. What else would you recommend? I will more than likely get a bigger (200+) when I get done with college but dont have the space for one right now.

Wow, theres so many to choose from. Try chromies, dottybacks, gobies, dartfishes, blennies, some wrasses, damselfish, grammas. Luna

I have one tang in my 75g and I am pushing it. It is a yellow tang, so it's max length is about 8 inches. Currently it is about 4 inches in length. The hippo tang you are talking about gets to 12 inches. Way too big for a 65. I would skip the blue tang. Your tank is not big enough. If you want a splotch of blue, a Coral Beauty might work well for you. Just make sure that it's the last thing you put into the tank.

If you want a manderin goby that is fine as long as you have a suitable pod population for it to graze on. Otherwise, you will just watch a really cool fish starve to death.

Luna's right on the clown situation. One clown or a mated pair in a tank that size.

If this is going to be a reef in the future, I would stay away from angels, they tend to nip at corals, at least from my exp. Luna
