    This idea got started by my threads http://www.3reef.com/forums/tropical-fish/thinning-out-my-stock-list-83762.html & http://www.3reef.com/forums/algae/choking-out-gha-82570.html

    I resently wanted to redo my 65 gallon AGA drilled FOWLR aquarium. I havent kept up with it and it is over stocked and in rough shape. I started this morning by removing about 30 pounds of my live rock leaving 70 pounds left in my DT. The 30 pounds i removed i am goin to bleach to remove red slime and GHA, the other 70 pounds had very litte on it. I narrowed down my fish list to my Coral Beauty, Maroon Gold Stripe Clown, Ornate Leopard Wrasse, Blue star Leopard Wrasse and a Yellow Watchman Goby. That reduced my inchs of fish from 36" (full grown) to around 25" (full grown). I traded in my large damsel, 4 lined wrasse and dwarf lion at my LFS a few hours ago for 3 large mexican turbo snails, 3 of what they called "Turban Snails" a pencil urchen, a 50 lb bag of reef crystals and a gift card with $5.99 left on it. My plan from here is to bleach out the 30 lb of rock, order a new sump to replce my cheapo 10 gallon one, order and install a RO/DI system so no more tap water (hope to do that with in the new month) and final order 4 new T5 bulbs.

    This will be a slow operation since i dont have alot of money but i will update it.

    Thanks 2in10

    Alittle update...i took my 10 gallon sump apart to clean it and my skimmer. Its just a topfin petsmart 10 gallon tank so i tried to take off the top black trim so my filter sock would sit on the side better and i ended up cracking the tank so its trash. Right now i have a 5 gallon bucket acting as my sump.

    I have some picture of my temp. aquascape and also pictures of my 5.5 gallon nano and one of the pencil urchin munchin on some silver slides. My plan with the 5.5 is to take the coral and watchman goby out and put them into my 65 and turn my 5.5 gallon into a mantis setup.

    Current aquascape, my plan is to keep this scpae and add the rest of the rock to make the scape taller.

    thanks frkid247!

    I got some geat news, my parents just gave me permission to use some of the bonds my grandma left to fix up my tank. I told them i needed around $1000 and they agreed.

    My shopping list is;
    Pure-flo II 24 GPD 3 Stage RO system
    Eshopps Reef Sump RS-75
    x2 36" Powerchrome Aquablue+
    x2 36" Powerchrome Actinic+
    Reef octopus NWB-110 Protien Skimmer
    Hydor Koralia 4

    This will cost me about $600 leaving $400 left to get a good amount of coral.

    I prlly wont place the orders till next week but i will make sure to have pictures of all the new goodies!
