    Will a halogen bulb work in a fuge. i found one at lowes. Or should i look fook for a different type. I need a new one pretty quick. I was using a regular light bulb and it burnt out in 2 days. Thanks in advance.

    Halogen bulbs create a lot of heat, which is undesireable. I'm not sure about UV emission, but for a refugium, I think you're better off with a simple Home Depot or similar spiral type 67K (daylight) bulb for about two bucks. The holder is another buck or two.

    Cheaper is better in this hobby when lower quality doesn't make a difference. IMO this is one of those cases. You don't want to skimp on other essentials, but a bulb for a fuge? If only the dollar store sold 'em! :)

    cool i have one of the heat lamps for a reptile cagr i am using at the moment.
