In your first pic, I see that you had an under gravel filter. Did you place the substrate on that under gravel filter? Luna

The only reason I used it was because when I first put the tank together that’s all I had besides a CPR backpack 2. My tank is now 7 months old the under gravel filter was in there 3 months of it.

The only time that I have ever used one of those things was when I had a FW tank. I have never seen that thing being used in a SW application. Luna

I know better but there was no fish in the first month and damsels the second. There is a way to use this method in a way that does work. When your tank is drilled from the bottom using egg crate wrapped with screen running to a canister filter. I was only doing this to get the cycle started. I knew I had some equipment in storage but need a few more peaces.

A nother nitrate test in the red. Everything looks ok fish are normal. I cut way down on feeding my angel has been triying to eat my Sea Anemones well the carpet any way. I think im just going to chill for a week and stop ripping my hair out (Notice im bald) and hope it drops. This testing every day is driving me nuts. I got 3 of 4 new powerheads comming tonight. My next plan is a 10gal display tank - Fuge.
