    Build Cont.

Just got my ro/di today from bulk reef supply.

Got a little further on the overflow, the adhesive takes a while to setup. If anyone is looking I have DWG files for the acrylic that I drew up. I run a laser at my shop so I can cut whatever I need for this...NICE. I can email you the files if needed.

Tested the sump today.. all looks good to me, none of the chambers were leaking during the initial fill, also bought a 320gph pump today and some more sand for the fuge.

    Update

So i scrapped the first overflow box and made a new one. Turned out much cleaner.

Finished plumbing the sump and got everything installed except for the skimmer, it will be in the spot on the right and I will have my fuge in the middle.

Draining the freshwater out right now so I can add my sand and rock and get this baby going again. I have 35 gallons of ro water ready, and as soon as it goes in the tank I'll start on the next batch.

    Update

So my second overflow didn't work, I couldn't get the air out of the water channel, I think it was too big. So I redesigned a new one with a half inch channel all the way. The last one worked but it didn't have the flow that I needed and the water level was too high.

Here is one with the skimmer and sand in the sump

I should have the newest overflow done tonight, I need to get this thing going.

Everything looks great so far. It's really cool that you can make your own overflow lol. :)
