    Hi all,

I've read through many of the threads here and I'd like to get some input. I'm upgrading my 75g from its stock PC (I have no corals yet!) to either a 6x54W t5 system (I've been looking at various Tek models, as well as the AquaticLife models with built in Moon lights), a 4x54W T5HO system w/ boostled/PAR30 lamps, or just a set up of 6-8 PAR30 boostled / par30 lamps? The LED lamps are particuarly appealing to me because of the reduced maintance / long life span.

As for livestock, I'd like to keep some zoas and maybe some acans in this tank.

    Thanks for any input!

Edit: I forgot to mention that I'm aware that LED is somewhat new, but I've been following some of the threads and I'm satisfied with being an early adopter, though I'm certainly not set on it.

I have not really searched up alot about LED's. But they defi are nice since they have like a 3-5 year life span or something? But i ran T5HO's and i really liked them, if i were you..The 6 bulb would be better for one, you get more light, and two..You can more choices of bulbs so you can make your tank the way you want it to look, and T5 has a huge variety.

    Welcome to 3reef,

If you are only going to keep low to medium light corals then the 4 bulb T5HO fixture will be more than adequate. If you want to keep SPS and clams then you will need to use top of the line bulbs like ATI and Geisemann.

We have several sponsors who specialize in LED fixtures. I suggest contacting them recommendations on their products.
