    hi all, i have a fairly large tank and im wanting to have areas which contain low lighting areas and high lighting areas, i was thinking of having 2x 150w over a length of 4ft and the rest would be lite by fluros? would this be alrite and im wanting to keep soft corals only...

    At 2 feet deep you might want to consider 250W of MH. It will penetrate the water allot more than just a 150W.

    would the 150w be alrite for coral that are pretty high up the tank?

    I dont think it would be a problem... specially if you intend to keep only softies. They are allot less light demanding than SPS, LPS or anemones.
